Whew! I have been making stationery! It is a funny thing when you are a creative person whenever you see something you automatically think, "I can do that!" I know when I was growing up my mother who did a lot of sewing often picked up garments at stores and said, " I can do that!" She is also a fabulous cook and when we would be out to eat, she would say "I can do this!" at restaurants as she savored every bite trying to figure out the ingredients in the dish. The thing is is-My mom could do all that! She lead by example and now her daughter is up to her ears in stationery, ha! I see cute stationery and think the same thing. of course part of me says "I used to do that!" But looks and style change over time.I do this with just about every illustrated project I see. I am not sure if this is a good thing. I, on occasion, will stop and say-"No Monica, you cannot make your own wallpaper, it is unrealistic!" But this is a fun project and I am feeling organized even though the holiday is rapidly approaching, I am not letting myself get tangled up in the nervous gift giving frenzy of it all, plus, everyone I know is getting stationery!
