Ok, I admit I am a part of Red Sox Nation and once again New Englanders everywhere are driving and working on very little sleep. Why, oh why must baseball be on so late at night?! My son had a 7AM hockey game this morning to boot. Tonite is THE BIG GAME. I have almost completed this sweater while watching the Sox attempt to win the pennant. I LOVE working on big needles! I think have found my pattern company Rowan-with the "Biggy Wool". Finally,something in my life that is finished quickly!! Granted I know I have some pretty time consuming passions but I need to have some sense of completion. I have also been working on some pattern design. It took me a bit to get back into the groove after my trip to LA. It reminded me why I don't travel/work like I used to. I come home and have completely lost my focus on my art work and have jet lag on top of it! This piece is a pattern design I have been playing with-I am not sure how it will show on line.I am using home furnishings to create patterns. I totally dig it and the best part is...for now nobody has to dig it but ME. 43 years later-only I have to like it. It is nice to let go and do what you love. I want to get a compilation of designs done and I think I may approach an agent. I was/am toying with the thought of taking booth at the Surtex Show (Surface to Textile Design). But it is still in the 'toying with it' stage.
