So I decided to take up sewing-ha! I downloaded a 30% off coupon for Borders and went and out and promptly bought a book. I think maybe a new hobby or creative outlet is just an excuse to buy books. At least for me it is, you should see how many knitting books that I own! I almost bought the skirt book above and I was originally looking for the Bend the Rules Sewing book but they didn't have it and I wanted to actually see the projects. I did get the bug to sew some skirts for myself so that book may be my next purchase-BUT I am going to be strict on myself. I have to finish at least ONE project from the book I finally settled on, Simple Sewing! Hold me to it!!! I don't actually see myself getting started until I get my office re-done. I spent yesterday dragging Luke around IKEA looking for a larger desk. I have 2 in my office now and I trying to "custom" build my own (one) desk that will fit the odd space of my studio. I am also buying some new storage shelves, very confusing at IKEA! Anyway, I think I have this new fix-up-my-space zeal because my husband is remodeling our only bathroom (cottage house built in the 20's) and I feel the need to straighten up the rest of my life with the disarray around me. (scream, but a small quiet scream...very grateful the bath is being redone don't want to discourage husband)
