So I did find a new knitting book and it had this fun project from an old sweater that I felted!!! I had to mix it up a bit with some toile and a flower. I actually completed it in a short amount of time and got some instant gratification mixed with creativity that I really needed. The book is Alterknits and here is directions for this project, Recycled Sweater Tote. I think what pleased me with the most is that I actually got my sewing machine working! That was a major miracle! Now I feel like I have an excuse to buy Simple Sewing with a French Twist...

Next weekend I want to try the knit silver necklace in Alterknits...how is that for taking back my weekends? Until then, it is Monday so I better pick up my paintbrushes! Ya know, life is pretty good that I get to go from one creative project to another and actually get to call it "work".
