I am learning more and more about people, about having a community, about family and about friends in the most unlikely places. I had another set back with my health. I ended up back in the ER with really odd symptoms that as it turns out are migraine symptoms. I finally went out and bought the Mayo Clinic book on Headaches. I didn’t know that you could pass out from migraines have tremors, fatigue etc. I had a tough holiday weekend second guessing the doctors first diagnoses lead to a lot of fear. I ended up back in my GP’s office who assured me that it was most likely migraines and not MS and she encouraged me to switch to different migraine medication. She gave me a 4 step plan. She was very kind. And that’s what I realized, that when you are in a tough spot people can be unbelievably kind. Friends picked my son up from school. Neighbors came and checked on me everyday. My husband and son are so patient, they have been for months. I love them so much. My mom and sister call and check on me constantly. Last night I took Luke to hockey and stopped by his dad’s house. His dad and his step mom took one look at me with a headache, trying to adjust to new meds and were so nice. They were patient and talked to me and then convinced me to just go home and that they would take care of Luke. It brings tears to my eyes to realize how good people can be, just how kind. Speaking from experience, if you see some one who needs a bit of kindness today reach out to them, the smallest thing can make the biggest difference in their day. I am doing better today than yesterday and I think everyday the new meds build up in my system I think I will do better. Oh, my pup has been really helpful too!
