I love summer in New England. This is what we wait for all year. My hubby, the boys and I have been enjoying our backyard the last couple nights. It pulls me away from my studio and gets me off the computer and back into sketching. I have been sipping wine and doodling some ideas in my sketch book. This is a good place for me. There is no thought to it and I don't hear any practical critiques about the art in my head (maybe that is the wine, though).
I have spent the last week opening my art up to "impractical" spaces in my head. I have been asking myself, "If I could create this anyway I wanted what would it feel like, what would it convey?" Instead of asking what would it be used for? or would someone buy it? or even can I actually create that? This is a great place for my brain to be, I think summer helps. I am hoping to stay in this space and have a bit of originality make it's way on the paper.
I wanted to add that I am creating a list of blogs that inspire me, right now they are on my
inspiration page. I want to be able to enlarge this list myself without asking my webmaster,Tom who has to really make an effort when he updates the blogger site within my site. We have this on going debate about blogger vs. typepad. I am convinced that typepad is easier to change within my url than blogger. (He is not convinced.)I want to update what blogs I read, manage categories etc. I would love your input on this. IF you not html savvy and use typepad with ease...let me know. I like the layout of some people typepad pages. ANYWAY....I was reading
ilbloggo this morning she has a large list of projects that inspire her and I clicked on them all! They are great! I swear I am going to get my sewing machine fixed!! But there all all sorts of goodies in her list!
