Happy Mother’s Day to all you Moms!
I spent my morning on the radio for 4 hours, mingling with rockstars, and being showered with gifts…simply, another example of God’s blessing and what appears to be an extraordinary life that I am leading.
You see,
Tommy sent an email to a local radio station
WBOS, for a Mother’s Day Promotion they were doing. His email was one of the five they picked to come into the studio for the Sunday morning radio show (Sunday Morning Over Easy) and meet
Sonya Kitchell, a rising new star if there ever was one.We didn’t know what to expect when we got there, and literally sat right in the studio with the DJ. George was so nice to all of us and we enjoyed everyone at the studio including the infamous
Mink Rockmore. Luke came along and we all had a chance to run different aspects of the control panels.
Sonya Kitchell came in and performed three songs live. She’s amazingly talented, well beyond her 17 years.
And, in addition to the many prizes the station gave us Mom’s, I won the grand prize, a new bicycle. I can’t wait for this New England rain to stop so I can go riding with my boys.
