I have not posted in a bit. I have been a bit sick, actually really sick. I have been struggling with gastrointestinal issues for several years. I thought I had it under control, although I still experienced discomfort after meals I was surviving. Then a couple months ago I went down hill and it peaked this week when I ended up in the Emergency room. Big bummer. BUT the ER doctor did some blood tests that may indicate my having celiac diaese which is more commonly know has a wheat or gluten allergy. So I have an appointment on Monday with another specialist for more tests. I think I was tested for this about 2 years ago but I have educated myself a bit more and have learned it is tricky to diagnose through blood tests. I was REALLY surprised that and emergency room doctor may have picked up on it without me saying anything. Especially since I had made an appoint with a GI specialist but couldn't get in until May. HA! I trip to the ER moves you up in line for appointments (just so you know for future reference). For my bloggers that pray, feel free to pray for me. It got a little scary there and I think I could live quite happily without gluten as long as I do not have to spend any more nights like I did this week!
