I went Salvation Army shopping the other day. My neighbor called and started me the path to my demise. This place is a 3 story Salvation Army near my son’s school. I found vintage jewelry, which I love and have a lot of already from my Grandmother. Years ago she was a jewelry buyer for the drug store she worked at…we had so much of it. A lot of it was tossed in a box and sold at garage sales. ARGH@!!! I bought these rhinestone and Aurora Borealis necklaces. I also picked up this darling evening bag, originally from Neiman Marcus, it has a cute mirror and coin purse attached with a gold chain. I told myself I was going to sell the ones I didn’t use on ebay. Just like the vintage bark cloth curtains that I said I would sell on ebay. (pleazzze!) I am using my broken camera as my excuse for hanging on to these things. The display screen got cracked and now I can’t see the menu. That is why my pics are always so awful… I could use some recommendations on inexpensive cameras if anyone has one. THEN I will sell some of these things instead of just hoarding them. Love this kind of stuff!
Anyway, back to my demise, I also saw this tangerine leather trench coat with a fur collar and cuffs. Very Nanny Fine. Fit me like glove, but tangerine! A traffic stopper for sure. Should I go back and get it? Will it still be there? See what is happening?! This place is by my son’s school, where I go everyday! Can I run a small ebay business and illustrate full time!!? Stop the madness! If it ever stops snowing I am going to pester Tom is go back to the store with me. He loves this stuff also, see he IS the perfect mate! In fact for the last 3 days, he has asked me, “Are you going back to get the coat?” What do you think of that, girls? A good man.
