I wanted to start be thanking everyone who commented on my Illustration Friday. I had posted it quickly before I headed on a quick trip to Paris. Tom came with me and we headed up to
Le Sacre-Coeur. (The church you see in the picture) We went in and lit candles and said a prayer for our boys and for some friends in need and for each other.
There is nothing like being inside one of these beautiful churches to quiet your spirit and to realize that their need to be some sacredness in your life. I was thinking about when they built this church, all the planning, the craftsmen, they must have known that people would come there for years and seek God and pray for people. I was also thinking of how quickly we build our houses of worship today. Our faith should stand the test of time, why shouldn’t the places that we worship? I looked around at all the people there in the church with us from different countries and it gave me hope and peace.
Anyway back to thanking my fellow bloggers…when I returned home from my nice peaceful trip I got slammed with all sorts of “blended family issues”. And I mean the minute I walked into the house! This is my advice to anyone out there who wants it…DO NOT MESS WITH A TIRED FLIGHT ATTENDANT. Tangling with someone who is exhausted is just a bad idea. I was frustrated and upset and I peaked on my blog to read everyone’s nice comments and it really lifted my spirits. You guys are great, it nice to have fellow “encouragers” on line. Very modern, quiet a contrast to the old candle lit church, but it worked for me!
