Funny how when I have the most art due, I seem to post the most journal entries....hmmm, there may be a procrastination pattern here. Not to worry, I have never missed a deadline in my life. I don't even think I have been late for anything in my life. Having a military father and then working for the airlines will teach you to be ON TIME. I will never forget going to the terminal to get on my airplane to see it pushing back from the gate without me on it. Ouch! (Time change, Spring Forward, I was NOT actually late.)
Sometimes I wish I could sound more artsy and say things like "I am
so behind on my deadline," or "...the art is
so overdue," and sound completely cavalier. I am just not that way, I fret and worry and wake up at 4am (this morning) thinking I must be working!!! In the end, much to the happiness of my publishers, I get everything thing on time, early even. I always wonder if I appear too eager finishing early. I knock myself out, no ones except my family sees that. I had to rearrange a project today to make sure I got other art finished on time and here I sit, typing away....argh! What was I here for? OH!!! Illustration friday, I totally have fun "float". I did this as a promo piece a while back. I love drawing boys!
